Out with the Old, in with the New

2022 was a Reblooming season for me. I thought outside the box, I challenged myself to try new things and I refused to allow my autoimmune diseases to hold me back.  I had a tiiiiiiime in 2022 and that big energy will pour into 2023, with adjustments to maximize my mental and physical health goals.

This first quarter of the year will be all about reflecting, releasing and resetting .

Reflect- what was learned in 2022?

It's the 1st month of 2023, thus I begin to reflect. What did I learn from 2022? I learned that sometimes my journey will look different than others who don’t experience pain daily. I learned that I can’t hold myself to someone else’s timeline because flare ups come and they don’t care about plans. I learned that  I need to be rest between the pushes because I can’t create when I’m physically and mentally exhausted.

Release-if it doesn't serve you, let it go

With that said, I will be intentional in this first quarter of 2023 about releasing those things and people that no longer serve me. It’s ok to prioritize you and what you need in order to optimize your health and well-being. Bottom line… in 2023 the focus will be on being intentional about the life I want to live and the people I want in that life.

Reset- Focus on setting new goals or reimagine old ones

Of course, I’m resetting fitness and health goals and being intentional about what good health looks like to me. I’m giving myself a weight goal and doing what I need to do to maintain it.

I’m being more intentional about feeding my body what it needs to thrive and not just survive.

I’m being intentional about protecting my space and lowering stress that causes autoimmune flares.

What are your 2023 goals? What strategies are you using to make sure you meet those goals?
